Shola Shoretire continues to etch his name into the history books
after setting a new record on Saturday in Manchester United's 2-2 draw
with West Brom in the U18 Premier League.
He was aged 15 years and one month when he entered into the game as
a 68th minute substitute, replacing Helm for his competitive debut for
United U18s.
In doing so, Shoretire became the first player born in 2004 to make
an appearance in the U18 Premier League and also became the youngest
player to feature in this season's U18 Premier League.
Born in 2003, England U16 sensation Louie Barry was aged 15 years, 2
months and 25 days when he made his U18 Premier League debut for West
Brom against Wolves on September 15, 2018.
In December 2018, Shoretire suited up for Manchester United in the
UEFA Youth League, aged 14 years, 10 months and 10 days, becoming the
youngest player to feature in the competition.
Considered one of the greatest talents at Manchester United
Academy, Shoretire made his U18 Premier League debut earlier than
Arsenal's Daniel Oyegoke (15 years, 4 months and 6 days).
