Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, has described forward, Marcus
Rashford as a ‘mad dog’ following his side’s 2-2 draw with Southampton
on Sunday in the Premier League encounter.
Goals from Stuart Armstrong, Cedric Soares, Romelu Lukaku and Ander Herrera ensured Mourinho’s side drew against Southampton.
Rashford was outstanding during the game before he was substituted in the second half of the match by forward, Anthony Martial.
Mourinho, however, heaped praises on the England international for his brilliant performance against the hosts.
“I would say Marcus Rashford was a mad dog until he was very, very tired and with little problems,” Mourinho told BT Sport.
“That appetite, that desire, that fire you have, you need that to recover the ball faster and to recover the ball higher on the pitch.”
Mourinho’s men will now tackle Arsenal on Wednesday in the Premier League in their next game.
